Electronica CD clearance blowout CD sale at Amoeba

So, I happened to go to the Amoeba Records in San Francisco the other day and happened upon a great Electronica CD sale. They have tons of stuff priced from $1.99-$3.99 a CD and if you buy four you get the cheapest one free. Not sure how long this is going to last for. I bought eight! This is what I got:

Happy hour spots in San Francisco

This map marks my second foray into the map-making field, preceded by the map of outdoor eating places below. Not too surprisingly, this map also involves food and liquor! Although, unlike its sister below, this map concerns itself with identifying establishments that have happy hour and what those specials are. This came about when I was driving around with friends around 4pm the other day and we spontaneously decided to go hit up somewhere for happy hour. We originally wanted to go to a sushi happy hour but no one could think of one, and a sudden assault upon our cell phones to produce one came up fruitless. We eventually ended up going to Palomino, which has a great happy hour!

Since beginning this map I've been informed of the existence of MappyHour, a website that purports to do the same thing but on a worldwide scale, complete with a very slick and clever interface. I've noticed that a lot of the establishments listed on their map actually don't have any happy hour listed and it seems to focus more on just bars than bars and restaurants, which is more what I'm after. It is, however, a great site and very well-done. If you have any suggestions for additions please let me know!

Outdoor eating places in San Francisco

This is a map that I started back in November when it was winter, I really bored, and sick for a week. I was thinking how cool it would be to have a map showing all the places with outdoor patio seating in San Francisco and, ideally, the whole Bay Area (if possible). I didn't want places with sidewalk seating, though, because in my mind the whole allure of patio seating is that you feel like you're in this secluded, secret area that no one knows about unless they're back there. There might be tons of traffic and hustle-and-bustle outside but then you step in one of these places and it's like stepping into an temporary oasis. The only places with seating in front I've included are those that almost have the equivalent of patio seating but in front (Enrico's in North Beach for example). Anyway, enjoy and please let me know if you have any more additions!
